Twenty years ago today, at 3:03 a.m., Bryan and I began our journey into parenthood with the birth of Jacob. As a firstborn, he began life as something of a guinea pig. When we took him home from the hospital, I said, "I can't believe they're letting us take him! Don't they know we don't know what we're doing?" Fortunately, he didn't know any more than we did, and we all figured it out together. He was certainly one energetic kid!
Jacob loves baseball. Here is a picture when he played for the Barons; he was the youngest player on the JV. I think he was around 13 years old.
